Lunch meeting at Azteca, 153 SW 157th, Burien, WA 98166. Mike Madden is our District 5030 Rotary Youth Service Chair. Mike was born in Michigan, raised in Southern California, and moved to Washington where he attended Western Washington State College, now Western Washington University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, majoring in History and French. Mike taught at Meadowdale Junior High for five years and moved on from there after two district funding failures. He landed at Safeco Life Insurance Company, starting as a life insurance underwriter, becoming a supervisor, then manager, then he retired in 2010, as the Vice President of the Individual Product Line. Mike joined University Sunrise Rotary in 2010 and has served as Rotaract Liaison for UW-Seattle Rotaract, University Sunrise President, International Service Chair, Secretary, District Rotaract Chair and Youth Service/Youth Protection Chair. |

Alyssa Vanderlin is the Fundraising and Marketing Director of The Genesis Project Seattle The Genesis Project is a nonprofit that exists to offer hope for a new life to women and girls who are victims, or have been victims of, Commercial Sexual Exploitation and/or Sex Trafficking. Our mission is to rescue victims, restore the broken-down barriers in their lives, and then release them showing them that there is more out in the world for them and that they can leave “the life”. |

We are helping at the White Center Food Bank packing Home Delivery Bags. Time 11:30-2:00
Location: 10016 16th Ave SW, Seattle, 98146
We will be at the new Food Bank location, 10016 16th Ave SW, Seattle 98146. The volunteer entry is in the back alley between Autozone and KFC. The Volunteer entry doors are marked. Parking is a challenge, I don't have any great ideas - except the AutoZone is off limits. Also 16th Ave SW is for customers parking. There is street parking on 15th Ave SW, a half a block away. That is where I will be parking. There is one handicap parking spot in the alley. Please let Dave Hawthorne know if you can help.
